As residents of Moorpark, we are very lucky to have the opportunity to live and raise our children in an atmosphere of caring and concern. We enjoy extremely low crime rates, and our city services are excellent. Our city council has done an outstanding job in keeping Moorpark a desirable place to live and work. But more can be done. We need city council members who will go the extra mile to guarantee success. We need leaders who are not afraid to stand up for what they believe in and act accordingly. We need leaders who have vision and forethought. There are various issues that the residents of Moorpark have clearly stated that they want changed. Included in these issues are the truck traffic, eminent domain, education, crime, and future commercial and residential development. We need to have clear objectives and goals, make plans, follow through, and continue with the success Moorpark has enjoyed over the past years. Special interest groups such as developers have no business dictating the direction of our city. We need leaders who will stand up, voice their opinion, and the opinions of the city's residents, and make positive and beneficial changes. Mark is an excellent choice for city council. He is compassionate but firm. He is fair and reasonable. Morals, values and ethics drive his decisions. But most importantly, his main objective is to bring a fresh look at the future of Moorpark, and do his very best to keep the residents at the forefront of all decisions.
